Dethatching

When your lawn has developed a significant thatch (often indicated by feeling ‘spongey’ underfoot), dethatching can be the quickest and most beneficial action to take, potentially saving a fortune in fertilisers or other actions lawn-owners take when they see the lawn appearing to suffer.

We use a specific dethatching ‘rake’ on our machine to rip the thatch from its hiding place while avoiding intervention with the lawn’s root system. Our dethatching method is fairly low intervention using a mass run of the dethatching tines to raise the thatch to the surface for subsequent disposal.
Talk to us about whether scarifying, vertimowing or dethatching might be most useful for your lawn. We can handle all these approaches, and we’ll help you repair your lawn efficiently.
